Antique copper Spanish Ceremonial Stirrup or Tapadero. These metal stirrups were cast metal copies of the early original leather tapaderos worn by the 16th-century Spanish Conquistadors who explored South America.  The metal stirrups would be used in ceremonial events. This copper one is much lighter in weight than many of the brass stirrups available.  11" X 4".  This one does show some wear.  Great home decor doorstop, bookend, or possible planter.  Only one is available.
