Three antique railroad train postcards. All sold together. They are not in mint condition but are still in very good condition. A very nice collection.
#13112 State Line Tunnel, Berkshire Hills, Mass. This tunnel is on the boundary line between Massachusetts and New York. "Phostint" Card. Made only by Detroit Publishers. Some writing on the back.
B & A.R.R. Series. State Line Tunnel. This is another postcard of the State Line Tunnel. A different postcard company. A slightly different view. Hugh C. Leighton Company. Printed in Frankfort, Germany. An interesting note about the tunnel: The first was bored in the 1840s. That is the tunnel for both of these postcards. It did have two tracks. A second tunnel was bored in 1912, still in use today.
#8920. Mt. Tom Railway. Mt. Tom, Holyoke, Mass. 1905 by the Detroit Publishing Co. Writing on the bottom front and the back. It is postmarked and stamped. 1906.
