Two versions of an American Classic. Stephen Foster's Swanee River or Old Folks at Home. Usually, I would never list an item in such a state of repair, especially a paper product. The Swanee River sheet music has a copyright date of 1889. This was before the days of scotch tape. This particular sheet music was so loved that it was mended with sewing thread. The music can still be easily read. 12" X 9 1/2". I thought it was worthy to be alongside a newer version of the original, Old Folks at Home which has a copyright date 1907. This version is in very good condition. Wonderful cover art. There is some obvious wear, mainly at the folded binding. 13 1/2" X 10 1/2".
