An adorable vintage German figurine.  A country boy is playing the fiddle to chicks.  There are some interesting facts associated with this figurine.  It resembles earlier Hummel, Kunstporzellan Iimenenau, and Erich Stauffer figurines.  They all had a small boy playing the fiddle with a small group of animals.  This piece is a Carl Schneider Erben figurine.  It is probably from the late 1960s thru the early 1970s.  There are earlier pieces using this mold, but the colors and glazing are very different.  This piece is marked "Made in Germany" on the bottom.  The number "20532" is impressed on the back of the base.  There are no chips or cracks.  A little boy playing his fiddle will always be a cherished figure.  6 1/8" tall.  The base is 4" across.
