A terrific book of music history. 1925. Young Folks' Picture - History of Music. By James Francis Cooke. With "cut-out" pictures to be pasted in each chapter. Philadelphia, Theodore Presser Co. 9 1/4" X 6". The concept of this book is to provide all the illustrations for each chapter, but they all have to be cut out and pasted in, much like stickers used today. Kids seem to love stickers—118 cut-out illustrations. The "cutouts" are separated from the book, and one page of illustrations has been cut out. None of them have been pasted onto any pages. I think the information in this book will be learned and remembered longer because of the need to handle and match up the illustrations. Page 10 looks like it had some faint writing on it in pencil. It has been erased. Otherwise, this book is in very good condition—a great home school music history book.
